AES (Auto Electronic Shutter) or AGC (Auto Gain Control)

The AES or AGC is an automatic light-adjustment that can reduce glare and is used mostly on cameras that do not use auto-iris lenses. It is normally set to ON and automatically adjusts picture gain in accordance with the brightness of the subject. When it is set to OFF, some cameras will not automatically switch from color to monochrome when the light fades.
