Parking Lot Security Cameras

In this video a thief is caught on tape stealing a car from a parking lot. The quality of the video isn’t great, but imagine if this business owner had installed Megapixel IP Cameras. There’s a good chance they would have been able to identify this guy using the zoom capabilities of a megapixel security camera. Regardless, this is one of many reasons your parking lot should be monitored just as much as the inside of your store or business.

    2. I think parking lots are one of the hardest things to cover effectively. One thing to look at, especially on new lots with islands with trees in them, is some day those trees will get bigger and may obstruct your view.

    5. Pity it was caught in a low tech recorder. If only they’re accessible and cost efficient to carry, then almost everyone will be using them for their companies and businesses. I seriously hope the thief got caught.

    6. Wish more parking lots had cameras and they were advertised as having them and they were very visible. I think that would cut down on most of these type of crimes.

    13. CCTV Cameras are great! Megapixel cameras could have definitely caught this thief, but analog cameras can definitely cater to more price-conscious consumers and business owners and still provide a good video. Thanks!

    14. This is really frustrating to watch because the quality of the recording was not very good. Having more visable cameras instead of disceet ones may have detured this theif. Even though there wasn’t a perfect shot of his face, there should be enough detail to help identify the guilty party.

    15. I have to give it up to the thief. That was definitely a good idea. But, I do not see how anyone in 2010 can be dumb enough to justify theft of any kind. Especially in open public places. Public surveillance is everywhere, and it is on the rise!
