It’s definitely good that this convenience store had some decent quality, color security cameras up… otherwise we wouldn’t get to see these hilarious clips of an absolutely ridiculously intoxicated/inebriated man trying to buy more beer. Now, don’t get me wrong, I hope the guy turned out ok and everything, but you still can’t help but chuckle when you watch his absolute lack of control over his own body.
The practical lesson here is, of course, that having these security cameras protected the store from any claims against them and allows for evidence in case anything was destroyed. Surveillance systems provide asset & integrity protection that simply cannot be provided any other way.

My only question is how did that guy get to the store to begin with? other than that you got to love catching funny stuff on camera. What would be my best choice for footage like that Geovision or Avermedia or should I go with a standalone DVR?

This is why CCTV footage is so helful when staging your defense in court. You never know when this type of situation can happen.

Holy cow. Somebody REALLY should have called the cops. Trust me, that guy would thank you later. He could try to cross the street, fall down, and just be laying there unable to move. I sure hope he didn’t really hurt himself… he’s beyond any kind of awareness.

This is funny, but it could also be very important in court if the guy had hurt himself and tried to sue the store owner. Having that footage would have probable saved the store owner some legal fees.
